Did Willa marry her half-brother?

In the beginning of the movie they said that guy was the illigitamate son.
During the reading of the will, he was told he didn't get anything.
Lilla was his half sister.
How could they marry?

Willa and Adam were half siblings through their mother, they had different fathers, so Lily and Adam were not related.

If they had the same mother, they are related and closely. This is incest. Their children will be born looking like something from a horror movie.

Willa and Lilly had different mothers but the same father. Willa and Adam had different fathers but the same mother. There is no blood link between Lilly and Adam.

k i just saw this movie and i loved it..and i was completly shoked at who the killer was..for some reason i thought it was gonna be bess

I was thinking that too when Lily and Adam started hanging out and getting all chummy.. I was like they know they are related right? But when they started dated I just thought I heard it wrong. Glad I wasnt the only one! Kinda confusing with all the 1/2 brothers and sisters and illigitimate kids coming out of the wood work. :) Pretty good movie though..especially considering it was made for tv.

No, Adam's FATHER was Blackfoot. Their mother was white.

Adam was a Blackfoot, but their mother still Indian in her I dont think it was pure but pretty close. At least it was in the book

No, both Adam's father and Adam/Willa's mother were Blackfoot, so Willa is technically half-Blackfoot. This is how it was described in the book, but the movie doesn't explain that very clearly.

no i think adam was just taken in by willa's dad
he explained it to lilly somewhere in the movie about how his dad was abusive and jack mercy took in him and his mother
his mother probably helped raise willa which is why she called him her half brother

do you people even watchh the movie willa and adam share a mother. adam father was abusive so the mother took adam and went to the ranch some time later jack and her got together married and had willa. Adam only stayed because for willa and he had a job
