I still don't get it why they have to rent a chapel to plan the heist? Why not at home?

I suppose they decided to meet at the Chapel because Claudio knew that Alejandro was dating his baby sitter, and, since he (Claudio) was paranoid about anyone stealing from him, he has Alejandro followed by his cronies. I noticed that Emilio resided at the Chapel during the course of the film as well. Maybe, Emilio and Alejandro did not want to risk being seen together as the plans for the heist moved forward. Also, the Chapel is a public place of worship where everyone could go into.
