I just finished watching this movie and gave it a 10.
I am not a member of the cast or crew....just loved this movie!

As soon as I came across words like "insufferable" and "dire" in the reviews and comments I pegged it for a winner.

Picking it up tomorrow. Screw the artsy-fartsy clan.

I like it. It came on at 4 in the morning and there was nothing else on. To be honest I only started to watch it because it said it was set in Reno Nv.
But it was very good.

I wouldn't give it 10, but certainly an 8. Nothing fancy and that may be why I liked it so much. In a time where Hollywood spews out crap on a daily basis this was a breath of fresh air. Hope to see Shelly Cole in many things to come.

It's average. Considering 10 of its 40 votes are perfect 10's, it's quite obvious that the majority of its early votes and comments were one sided opinions by the cast, crew, investors and production team involved. One of the most pathetic aspects of IMDB. Not that it's IMDB's fault. The level of dishonesty in the entertainment indutry is just revolting. Anything for a buck.

I'm not a reviewer, if you were curious about the flick or cast and can find it. Check it out if it sounds interesting to you. Or click on "external reviews" for a more balanced perspective. I found it to be fairly bland and typical of a small, indy production. Not worthy of the scorn I would give an indy horror flick that grades itself as revolutionary and a perfect 10 when in fact it is perhaps one the lamest films ever made. Still, I'm sure genuine efforts were made here, it was decent, and had its moments. The cast did fine. I still took nothing away from the experience. Despite the glowing and almost life affirming reviews that some of its early critics claimed the film to be. 6/10

That said, if it is an early effort by someone looking to live their dream by making or acting in movies. Best of luck to you. Hopefully things work out. It wasn't a bad film. However, when so many fake reviews make it out to be the best film ever made, it's inevitable that many will come here with the intent of balancing the score with a little more honesty.

Spot on comment by tjones202. I absolutely agree with everything you've written (except that you've written one of my pet hates "that said..." instead of the correctly written: "that being said...")

It is a very bland movie which was brilliantly filmed. If watching great cinematography (given the subject matter) is your thing then be sure to watch this movie. Otherwise its screenplay/story was lacklustre at best and quite dire, if truth be told...

i just saw it last night. i thought the acting, writing, and direction were terrible. but that's just me. it was a cute idea, but not very well executed.

very good movie...has that Norma Rae quality about it

I enjoyed it. Not a ten but worth watching.

Jeez what a bunch of "nose in the airs" we got writing here.

It was a very enjoyable movie. No needless overacting. No attempt at heavy drama.

It was a nice movie and one anyone could watch. One gets the idea that some of the so called reviewers here have their heads up their azzes and would probably have enjoyed it immensely if the girl had been raped and murdered by the lead male actor, the boyfriend turned into a machine gun toting redneck and been gone and done blowed up stuff real good.

OR else they wanted acting on a par of "Lawrence of Arabia"

Some people simply cannot enjoy a pleasant movie without turning all bluenose reviewer.

Oh and I'm not in the cast, invested any money in it, don't know anyone attached to the movie and such cynicism about people who liked the movie only shows where the head of the poster is....like I said earlier....

I caught this one on cable @2010/2011, and I thought it was brilliant. I think what turns people off, is it's a slow-moving film, as opposed to a fast-paced action flick.

I think that was the intention, and it works beautifully. I think that it was done in the tradition of an English comedy, and in that respect it works.

I could be a bit biased, however, because I moved to Sparks (right next to Reno) shortly after seeing it! (for work, not because I saw the movie!) Ironically, I did stumble upon the shopping center where the "new" Village Barbershop was located at the end of the film - they even still had the sign out! (it's gone now)

I'm guessing that the trailer park scene was filmed in Napa, as the rest of the film was obviously in Reno.

If you want something funny and "cute", and without tons of special effects, this is it.

To my surprise...

I drove by the location of the "new" Village Barbershop, and this time I got out of my car and looked - and it's still there!

I'll have to stop by some time and get a haircut...
