Mink here (a.k.a. Stolhanske for those of you missed my last update).
Hot Damascus Summer Nights, have I got some good news for you.
Super Troopers 2 is now OFFICIALLY GOING INTO PRODUCTION! AGAIN!
We’ve already shot some great stuff, but are officially moving forward in just a few short weeks to finish this mo-fo. Personally, I cannot wait to put the uniform back on! Or, should I say I’m VERY FLIPPIN’ HAPPY (that’s how Lemme thinks we all speak here in MN).
Cameras start rolling the first week of September!
That means, if you’re a Featured Extra, Producer or VIP Set Guest, it’s finally time to make plans! One of our producers emailed all of you earlier this week, but if you didn’t get your invite, let us know ASAP – email [email protected]!
Also, before we go back to set, I want to say THANKS AGAIN to all of you. You’re the reason we had an amazing Indiegogo campaign and even reached my favorite stretch goal… which allows real live bears to appear with us in ST2. Yep, we’re keeping our promise, and I’m excited to say we’ve already started casting the bears.
I volunteered to help in this department. (Not my first rodeo. Check out the credits on our first movie Puddle Cruiser - Casting by Mink!)
l’m going to be honest here, I volunteered for one reason: the casting couch. Some people might find this technique of casting a film a bit of ‘lore from yesteryear,’ but let me tell you it is alive and well, my friends. Bears will do ANYTHING to be in a film and completely unapologetic about it. Not sure if I was turned off or turned ON by this?? BTW, my mom referred to my hot bear scene action in the first movie as “making out” with the bear. Ya, hey der! Now that’s how to talk Minnesotan.
Alright, I’m going to let you guys go, but just wanted to share one last cool thing with you:
We didn’t quite hit the $4.75M mark on our Indiegogo campaign… BUT because of your patience and incredible generosity, we’ve stolen (“borrowed”) the extra funds we need to give you a Kickass Chase Scene in ST2! You’re going to love it.
Will we do our own stunts??? You’ll have to wait for the movie and see if you can decide for yourself.
