'Groundhog Day', anyone?
The premis is the same.

Bill Murray's magic (hint, hint) is now in the hands of Jansen Panettiere. Which reminds me, I'd like to see him on at least one episode of HEROES. Power not necessary, but would be nice.
I have the same birthday as Johanna E. Braddy (Princess Yue on Avatar.)
That was the first ting I thought.

Ditto, mordor89. Lol.
I was about to say that movie where the guy wakes up and it's xmas everyday, but same with Groundhog Day.

That's exactly what I thought, too. Groundhog Day for ten year olds, only it's a good day that he's reliving over and over.
shareI came to post this topic too. I hated the fact that they said "Nick original movie". Orginal my @$$. The sad thing is all the little kids watching this will have no idea. This definately won't have the same feelings and morals as Groundhog Day. Sigh...
I am tracheotomy man!
I was thinking that too
shareGroundhog Day for minors... first thing I thought.
For every genius action, there is an idiotic one. I just happen to do one more then the other...
Groundhog Day is PG!!! If that's not good enough for Nick, then why'd did they play Kangaroo Jack (A PG that should've deserved an R). DAMN MPAA!!!

Raip-off... got an excuse to make another POS?
shareI know I said myself how it copied off of Groundhogs Day because they're both about a guy who lives the same day over and over again.
sharei saw the preview and i was like not again there is christmas, groundhog day, and now summer. it's getting old
Luv ya Rae you're my idol
I hate to tell you guys this---but Groundhog Day is NOT an original idea...it has been done before...12:01 came out long before Groundhog Day did and it was exactly the same thing...a guy who lives the same day over and over and over and over......so Last Day Of Summer did not rip--off Groundhog Day because the guys who did that movie took it from another movie that came before theirs.....
Slobberknocker!
This is a total Groundhog Day rip-off, only without the suicides. Does anyone else think that the part where he gets hit by a meteor was weird?
shareDid you not notice the groundhog in the movie, repeatedly, in the tent scene that starts off virtually every day? The producers were acknowledging that they took the premise (not "premis") from "Groundhog Day". I thought it was clever and smart of them to show the connection in that way.
As for the point of your post, I'd say, "So what?". The two movies are aimed at different audiences. And there are few original ideas; virtually every movie/book/play has a counterpart that is similar to something else.
