Is there a problem with seeing the Humans as bad guy's?

From what I understand of the premise, there are some humans who see the light and try to stop what is happening. I love this premise, its realistic and profound. I can picture the last surviving Earthlings being led by a maniac dead set on finding a new home. It could happen. I have been called a misanthrope several times(I dont think its an accurate judgment) and I will agree I have negative view on our race. People who get mad at this premise and wave it off as rubbish need to open their eyes and mind.

Correct. Who knows about the future? All I know is from what I am seeing, we are greedy. If our technology allows it then we'll do it. Call me a misanthrope if you want and who's to says there isnt an alien race out there just like us.

well first the gorverning elite would manufacture some kind of a false threat, such as the gulf of tonkin incident, or 911 maybe if they made some kind of provocation that the public was ignorant of. but yeah its definitely plausable.

reply

Yeah because it's totally plausible that we'd go to war with a random alien species we happen to run across based on the idea that we might be able to convert their planet's atmosphere to oxygen somehow.

Humm, yeah.
America went to war with the same species just for oil.
Sovjet Russia went to war with their own people for an idea...

If you really think it's so impossible for a human to go to war with someone over such a small thing as the air they breathe you might want to check out some stats on what happend in Hitlers gaschambers, where children were trampled by adults for a gasp of air.

This.......

Humans are capable of the worst attrocities against guess what, gasp! other humans.

And it's not just resources. We go to war for inane reasons like religion too.

The blue ray version has deleted scenes that gives a louder voice to humans who refuse to go along with the genocide. But the willingness of the soldiers to follow the strong tyrannical leader and ignore democratic consensus and basic human decency is a frightening warning parable for our time.
