The continued insistence that SJP is attractive?

What is up with all these movies insisting that Sarah Jessica Parker is attractive? She isn't....

In this movie, Chuck keeps referring to her as "the hot doctor." In Sex and the City, she is supposed to be the stunningly beautiful protagonist who gets all the hot guys...

She is hideous. I don't know why they keep trying to play her up as being so beautiful.

Why do people insist she's ugly? She's far from ugly, yes she isn't stunning, but she has an attractive quality.

She doesn't get all the hot guys in sex and the city, Mr Big is average looking, and so were most of the guys she dated.

More importantly women are so harshly judged in general by physical appearance. No one mentioned how bad Chucks wig looked and his silly tash, which looks like pubic hair stuck to his face.

What about Lawrence's big gut hanging over his pants?

the pic here is ugly but she was hot in the movie

Check out the msg boards for 'Secretariat.' Posters mention SJP being in the cast. I didn't remember seeing her - then I realized what they meant.

The problem is films unrealistically have other characters referring to her as "very attractive". If a supporting character said "Hey, that nurse you're seeing isn't so bad, I mean, she has a nice personality" then that would be more realistic.

She actually looked nicer here.

Its that man again!!

Yeah, you've got a point. I've noticed it too. She's always advertised as 'hot', 'intelligent' and (too) 'young'. She comes across as of she's too good for everyone else. In fact she's the least interesting character in this and many other films.

And how smart is a middle aged MD who gets pregnant by surprise? But obviously, that's the guy's fault, not hers.

It's her arrogance and standoffishness that bothers me most, together with that wronged look that seems glued to her face. I wouldn't go as far as calling her "hideous", but she's really not that attractive at all. And that's mostly down to that same old unsympathetic personality she always plays (or has).
