Wasn't great, but...

...it was about what I expected it to be.

The movie is very low-budget and the script is cliche-ridden, but I'm sure it was a good experience for all involved. Everyone has to start somewhere, and the more work you do, the better you'll get. I will say that the aerial shots of the forest and lake between scenes were very good.

The actors looked like they were doing the best that they could with the material they had (and probable time constraints), but I have to say that the guy playing the lead barbarian had possibly the worst Irish accent I've ever heard! That being said, the actor playing the lead soldier (Artemir?) was the best of the bunch.

The "dark elves" were a somewhat flimsy plot device, but I can see where they felt that they needed something for the good guys to be swinging swords against, otherwise there would have been nothing but talking. The dragon was actually better than I thought it would be.

All in all, "Dragon" seemed to bite off more than it could chew, but I've seen big budget films that have been more of a disappointment. I almost liked the characters; maybe with a better script set in a different environment (Fantasy is hard to do right) they could flourish.
