Its a Northern Irish accent - totally different to the Irish accent most Americans are familiar with.

I am not American. I am from the North West England where we're very familiar with Northern and Southern Irish Accents and the accent in this film must have been pretty bad for me to make a comment. I'm a big fan of "Angel" so I know just how bad that was. Imagine if any Englishman, other than Cary Grant, spoke with the accent Cary Grant made up.
