I'd have to disagree. What makes a sitcom sucessful? The appeal and chemistry of the entire cast and plot to the audience. There are many sitcoms in the past that had little or no kids on the show and was a huge success with the teen market. First of, for those who said you will get tired of slapstick,,,,look at 3 sucessful shows..The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy..much of the plotlines on these bring slapstick into the picture. Secondly, sucessful sitcoms that appealed to the teens/tweens in the past...Friends, Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, Growing Pains, Family Ties etc. The sitcoms of the '80s brought together comedy for kids through interaction of kids and adults, whereas Arwin will be interacting with his nieces and nephews on the show, and I'm sure these kids would have the typical sitcom plot----problem/learning/solution/morals along with a subplot from another set of characters in the show.
just my 2 cents
