We Need More Darker Kid Movies

When I Think of all the old children movies from the 80's & 90's I remember them being darker for me these were some of the best movies for kids growing up back then however, I feel that the new movies are too much Light & Soft, if they can make more movies with dark themes like american tail or land before time, then maybe most animated films would not suck so much.
