EXACTLY what I was thinking. Otis is a bull. Why does he have utters???

:)

Vengeance is pointless. Try to be happy, and don't ruin your life for me.

reply

yes that always bothers me.

He has neither horns nor a non-utter body. I'm perturbed..

well actually if you were to look at male cow up close you would find the equivalent of a guy having nipples. So technically bulls had the base structure to have an udder. But to answer the comment that would follow, no it would not be nearly as well developed, nor would it be capable of producing milk. Also milk can not be produced without a calf being born as the animals bio chemistry plays a part in the milk production process. But they prolly wont change it. After all I suspect it was done intentionally for comedic effect. Also to drive people like me insane. I teach agricultural education and yes that includes animal science. So while I do like the show Otis having udders and all drives me nuts..Course on the other hand he would prolly have wound up as veal out in the real world.

This show is just another example of how little people understand non-human animals. I could list the reasons, but I won't waste my time.

The more people I meet, the more I like my Shelties.....

I think that's supposed to be part of the joke, that he is a male bull that looks like a female cow. I caught onto that right away... not sure why so many other people didn't. It's not a factual error, it's definitely intended. It's like in Rocko's Modern Life, Heffer was a male cow but a 'heffer' is actually a female cow. Same sort of joke.
