Matthew Broderick was very good in this...

that said this was not a great movie. Very slow at times but I still kind of enjoyed it. The performances were good.

The thing I did not like was his character was so against money, power, possessions...etc...and that is exactly how he is in real life with Sarah Jessica Parker! Surrogate babies, high end everything. I guess he wanted to play someone that he is definately not. He is the person that he is complaining about in this movie.

Still he did a good job and the movie was not really long.

Where did the fish come from in the rain? Anyone know?

6 out of 10.

My interpretation of the fish falling from the sky is that it symbolized that he was finally open to some type of hope or magic. Up to that point in the movie, he had rejected anything positive. I'm not sure if the writer was trying to use that scenario as optimism but that's how I took it.

I don't know: Broderick was OK but I didn't really believe him as a cynic.

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

I think he's very believeable as a cynic since he seems to be one in real life as well, judging by the many interviews he has given recently.
