Didn't like this movie because it...

sugarcoated actions that were blatantly wrong and made excuses for poor conduct. If you're undocumented, why are you still here? Either play by the rules or leave...It's that simple. I don't care about the problems, sorrowful tales or excuses. Just leave.

In addition, how do you break into a man's house, live in it as if it is your own and then give a sad, slow walk away as if you're upset and want THE OWNER to feel guilty because he wants you to leave?

This movie attempted to rationalize conduct that was just plain wrong.

Anti-immigration individuals always talk about living by the rules. To come here legally. First of all everyone that lives in America had ancestors that at one time emigrated. Whether it was 50 years ago or 500. When they came, there were no real laws to prevent them. As long as they were healthy, and had morals, they were accepted, as we all know of immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They came due to persecution or poverty in their native countries. Same as today's immigrant, only difference is there were no real illegal immigration laws. Those that come illegally today, if they tried to come here legally. They would most likely be rejected. So what would you do if you were poor in your country and wanted to come to America for a better life? Same as your great-grandparents. It seems convenient to talk about immigration after your ancestors who we were immigrants also came to America. The only real Americans are the native Indians. So unless you are,Apache or Iroquois Indian, those are the real American, everyone else is a descendant of an immigrants.
