Ghost in the Shell, 3rd GiG?

I guess I get first post, but what's the point? Where is this film? When will it be released? What's going on in here?

Lesee... Solid State Society takes place two years after 2nd GIG... I've no idea what the plot is.

It was released in Japan a few days ago, so it's not on YouTube yet. It has been officially declared that there is going to be more Ghost in the Shell after, but no one knows if they mean movie or series or whut.

In retrospect, i really don't know squat.

Release in the US and Europe is expected in 2007.

This is directly from the movie's overview page on www.production-ig.com. It should have aired in Japan on 9/1 on SKYPerfecTV! satellite television network, and should be released on DVD 11/24 there.

I just watched this not long ago and I really enjoyed it. I wont say much about the movie because I dont want to give anything away about the plot. It may not appeal to all but for myself it was enjoyable and I cant wait till the english dub comes out....it was a pain trying to read the subs and watch the movie at the same time. Bring on the next movie or series, some of the best anime around.

I have got the .avi file and it looks great but no subs.I'm so stoked to watch it that I'd add the subs myself if I had to.As a newbie at this,I'd really like any imput you can offer on how to find the info.

Actually I dont know how to do the subs....when I got the movie, it came with the subs but was hardsubbed too. Looks like I was lucky with mine then.

Download media player classic (Its free) open avi file then load the subs (.srt)

If you want to burn to a dvd you can't go wrong with vso convertxtodvd. Good quality conversions and very very easy to use.

Do you have the Japanese spoken version or the English? You may want to try the English Dubbed version if you have the Japanese. The Dubs are subliminal.
