Does anybody else hope that it REALLY hurt when Hyoma (the blind Kouga guy) killed Nenki (the Iga guy with the hair)?
I may be all alone in thinking this, but Okoi was one of my favorite characters in this anime. I think she should have had much more of a hero's death than what she got at Nenki's hands.
I agree. Im an Iga fan, but I liked how fast she though on her feet. Out of the Kouga I liked her, Gennosuke, Jousuke and Hyoma. I just got to the part in the anime where Nenki is about to walk in on her but i read the manga. i think its sad when her brother finds her

This is one of the very few times when I've routed for the "good" guys in anything... (if you could call Kouga the good ones). I can't help but think that all their 10 ninjas were way cooler than the Iga ones <_<
shareReally? I completely disagree. I found the Iga far cooler than the Kouga, though I do agree that Nenki deserved a painful death. Okoi was the only Kouga that I actually liked, though Hyoma was alright too.

Nenki wasn't the nicest character, but i don't hate him as much as others seem to. For a selfish jerk, he does have his funny moments. Rousai was the one i liked the least. I hoped HIS death really hurt.
Yes I did. The gloating he made, he deserved it. It was the most fitting death. I really liked Hyoma, and his own death scene was the saddest one of the 20, for me. He would have had Koshiro beat if Gennosuke hadn't blinded him earlier. Koshiro's death was pretty crap also.
Well actually quite a few of them died crappy deaths.
Similar to Nenki, I thought Jingoro died a fitting death.
I liked Kagero for some reason. Oh and her poison while making love ability is verbatim to Kagero in Ninja Scroll. I guess they would be the same character, though they died differently.
Jingoro should have died in a more brutal way, he was the crappiest ninja of them all, I hate his design

She was a cool character, I made my character in Tenchu Z to look like her, and Okois death was so pointless. She kills the guy who was torturing her, ok, thats a good time for the writers to let her escape, then another guy comes in. She doesn't kill him but definitely beats him, there was no way he was going to beat her in the condition he was left in. After beating two Igas that third guy comes in and kills her. Why did the writers do that? She had earned an escape and we had just got to see what her power was. I know it was obvious from the beginning that all twenty ninjas would be dead by the end of the series but after the fight she put up she at least should have survived another few episodes. The water guy who she almost killed was a pointless character who didn't really do anything worth mentioning but he seemed to be in a lot. Okoi did fight well and she only got a short time alive and a bit of time in flashbacks.
Also the thing about the guy's hair shielding him from her power was pretty stupid.
