A few questions about the plot (spoilers ahead!)

1) I was wondering, when Oboro has a flashback about her grandmother telling her about Tenzen's art, Ogen says that he uses a technique that is not a ninja technique. And yet, Oboro is able to stop his technique (while she is supposed to stop the ninja techniques only).

2) Why, oh why are ALL female ninja obsessing about men, and ultimately, dying because of their obsession? I mean, except for Okoi, every other female character in the series dies because of losing control and not being able to stay calm.
As a contrast, Saemon after losing his sister still manages to finish off 4 ninjas, Gyobu is only affected by the little boy crying for a second (his hesitation was not the reason of his death anyways), Gennosuke was totally able to turn his back at crying Oboro after almost killing Koshiro and living her behind as if nothing happened...

While Akeginu, Hotarubi, and even Oboro, Ogen and Kagero all suffered miserable fates because they failed to keep their guards up. Well, Ogen at least had her little revenge.
I found it a bit silly that the male characters managed to stay cool, while female ninja really proved that even despite having great powers they are still inferior to men...

I don't think she literally meant that his technique was not a ninja technique, but it did violate the ninja arts in a way. Its kind of hard to explain, but his technique involved a twin parasite being able to constantly regenerate his body. Maybe she felt that his technique violated the ninja arts in some kind of way by allowing him to relive after dying.

This kind of bothered me in the anime also. I guess the female ninjas were more gentle in nature compared to the male ninjas in the anime. I think that kind of explains why the female ninjas are more vulnerable to their feelings then the males were. But if you examine most of the female ninjas special abilities, pretty much all of their skills involved exploiting their body or use sex appeal in order to kill their enemies.

I mean Okoi had to reveal as much of her body as possible in order for blood-sucking abilities to work effectively. Akigenu is pretty much naked when she uses her special ability. And Kagero's special ability literally only works on men, and it works when she is in a state of sexual arousal. Hotarubi was pretty much the only female ninja whose power did not rely on sexual appeal, not counting Oboro either.

Also, Saemon shows moments of vulnerability in the anime. When he kills both Hotarubi and Akigenu, you can tell he feels some sort of guilt and vulnerability over their deaths.
