I've always loved this series. I remember it from 30 years ago when I was living in Japan. Recently, I was able to locate and purchase the latter half of the entire series--and look forward to finding the first half.

shareOh okay, I checked... Seems like it's a Japanese production: They have the money to make good CGI movies, and they know how to put emphasis on a story. Hope they can pull it off pretty good.

You don't own it on video, do you? Check out Amazon Japan for the prices if not @_@ (I have no idea if that's normal or not but it seems to be about $5 an episode, and at the ominous 108...)
I'd love to watch the movie! I didn't know the director did an Anime/Manga-based work other than Ichi!
Still I am jealous, there's not much opportunity to watch in its entirely legally =/
