whats it rated?

just wondering....

from what I can tell from the end credits, there is no MPAA certificate... yet, that might change when the film gets it's US release in September. There is one utterence of the four letter 'F' word, so I'd think the MPAA might give the film a PG-13 rating.

As for the movie itself, wow! I was tremendously moved by this film. For me, there was such diverse emotional highs and lows. The director noted at last night's screening at the Washington DC Environmental Film Festival that the film's website would be up Friday (March 23) in time for it's Canadian wide theatrical release. The gorgeous hidef DLP presentation at the AFI Silver Theater was flawless.

That movie was so violent it was pornographic.

I have no reaction other than disgust at having watched dying sharks, wounded sharks, bleeding sharks, mutilated sharks, dead sharks in great numbers.

While there may have been a message in this movie I have to say I couldn't stay long enough to receive it; I had to leave.

I think it's rated PG... there's no really suggestive scenes or graphic violence... I think they only swear twice and it just "poopy" but the S word for it.

It's PG.
I was at the Toronto zoo promoting the film to kids, so it's definately PG. There are scenes of sharks being brutally finned... but it serves a purpose.

At the theatre I went to, it was rated PG but "Not recommended for children." Personally I wouldn't take a kid to see it (even I wept for those poor sharks) but it's probably okay for teenagers.

"What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?"
