Another long wait?

The buzz begins again with this new film, Hei yan quan. Would anyone know if there is a distributor and U.S. release date? Also, any info on a DVD?

With each new film Ming-liang Tsai creates, there is the wait (some longer than others). From what I read, this may be his best yet. As a lover of minimalist art cinema, I'm really eager to see this one.

Any release/availibility information, web site (although I've searched), etc. would be apprecaited.

Any news on this film? I'm dying to see it and the one he completed just before it.

Strand Releasing has bought US rights to the film already. No word on theatrical or DVD release dates, however. Hope this helps.

its really frustrating that alot of great asian directors who are hitting huge career strides, despite their gaining footholds in the US, still have to wonder if they will get picked up in a timely fashion.

The ONE good part of this, like with Kim Ki-Duk or Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Pen-ek (can't remember his last name right now), is that by the time a new one gets here, they've usually already got another one in the can, ensuring you've always got one more coming after the "new" one if they decide to retire.

This film felt like a really really long wait - waiting for something to happen!!!!

I want these 2 hours of my life back! Well 5 minutes less - cos i eventually walked out.

Pretentious wank of a movie! Cannot believe it was up for the top prize at Venice last year. What were they smoking over there???

Avoid like the plague!

I myself am looking forward to it.
