Sexist show?

I was watching YIN YANG YO and I watched the episode, "The High She-as". A pirate ship ran by women takes the butt-kicking bunnies and Yin is with the female pirates and Yang is trapped in a slave-ship (where men row the ship not to mention scrubbing the deck). Yin is having a good time, while Yang is having really bad time. I discovered that the vilaness, Saranoia, is sexist. She is nice to Yin, when Yang talks to her, he gets insults yelled at him.

Get out of here or I'll crack you in half!!

You should see the episode "Scarf it Up!" Back on topic, later in the episode the pirate ship ran by women runs into a priate ship ran by men, lead by Ultimoose (who is modelled after Steven Segal). He is sexist. He doesn't like women. See the episode "Dojo Oh No!" to find out more.

I was surprised by this. At day one, I was like WTH?! But at the end it was all like OK after watching 6 episodes. But with Saranoya and Ultimoose being all sexist and stuff, I think this show is promoting sexism to the kids 7 and up.

What do you think?

This show is written by the infamous Steve Marmel, who wrote for Fairly Oddparents and who helped turn that into a cesspool of woman-bashing. The treatment of Wanda on that show in its last seasons was horrible. So it figures that Marmel's attitudes would infect this new show as well. His formula is to have characters, even the good guys, treat each other like crap and then have them pause to spout some kind of politically correct mantra. Then it's right back to the woman-bashing and other junk passing itself off as comedy. So all in all I think you're right.

Steve Marmel worked on COW AND CHICKEN before FOP.

Yeeeees, but then we see good guys , characters who we like, being unhappy because of the sexism.
So what does this teach us, kiddies?

Maybe by its very nature (Yin and Yang ... female and male stereotypes) we can't escape the fact it makes fun of what boys and girls can be like. I don't think it does it in a cruel way and it is an equal oppotunity show in that it targets how silly both genders can be.

Maybe the episode in which Saranoya uses a broom wand to disguise herself as a cleaner, infiltrate the Yo Dojo and get revenge on Yang ... only to be transformed into a French Maid who is magically compelled to clean up after everyone is pretty close to being sexist, but then it is the baddie getting their just deserts for planning evil things toward our heroes.

Just a sidenote ... Saranoya's little gnome assistant sounds VERY like Norm the Genie (Norm McDonald) from Fairly Odd Parents. Sadly JETIX channel compress the credits into a little box to run pointless trailers so I haven't been able to confirm my guess.

That movie has warped my fragile little mind.

I think you're taking it a little too far to say it's PROMOTING sexism. Sexism is just another form of comedy that this cartoon utilizes to be funny. It's certainly not serving young viewers an overly unhealthy dose of sexism, anyway. I know it's one of the reasons I think the show is so funny.
