did this ever actually get shown anywhere?


I remember there was a fair bit of publicity in the UK before this film was released and then nothing.
I don't recall it playing anywhere and I have never seen a DVD.

I don't suppose it was a very good film,sounds like it was played too much for comedy but the idea seemed like a good one.

Yes, it did get a fairly wide cinematic release in the North, for a low budget independent movie. You can see where it was showing on the website:
http://www.mrsratcliffesrevolutionmovie.co.uk/ And I bought the DVD quite recently, so presume that it must still be available.

Although it wasn't a massive smash, I really enjoyed the film. I thought that it was a heart-warming, homegrown tale in the ilk of calender girls and brassed off. And all of the cast showed just what British actresses can do.
