Hasn't this film already been made?

And didn't it star Billie Piper? And wasn't it *beep*
I kid, I kid. I'm sure this will be a huge success and I wish the cast
and crew the greatest luck in the world. It's just that when I saw
this announced on Film 2006 less than an hour ago I thought to myself, 'hmmm
another British horror film about students moving in to a haunted house...and
this one has Stephen Gately from Boyzone!'. Start saving now folks 'cos
I'm sure you're going to want to see this one twice.

Good grief... I was discussing this movie with a friend just yesterday... and the friend turns out to be working on the movie in a big way. I hadn't realised it was so high profile until I saw it mentioned on 'Film 2006' tonight.

I know its not a 'high profile' movie by the usual definition but, rather, a low budget independant... But, being more used to Micro-Budget productions... its higher profile than I realised.

Now I need to discover how he got his gig and work out how I can get a gig that gets mentioned on national TV also - lol. (Half-Joking)

Well, whether Jay2Kl (the poster above) is joking or not... I probably will be seeing this movie at least twice - simply to enjoy my friend's work - which I am sure will be excellent even if the movie fails to impress me as much.

Mind you, from what I have heard, the movie-makers are a really good bunch of people and so I really wish them the very best of success. It does seem a well-trodden story format... but that does not mean the result will be a poor movie.

Here's a link to a gallery of images... http://www.credothemovie.com/Gallery_Cast.html

Some of these shots show their low budget but are very well photographed and interesting in their composition. This promises to be a rather good-looking low budget movie, I think.

Basically, what 'horror' film featuring pretty young things getting bumped off one by one hasn't already been made.....?

zzzzzz

What an original observation - lol

Show me any movie which is actually completely unique. Stories never exist in isolation.

Certain genres like the 'Slasher' and, before it got spiced up with Spaghetti, the 'Western' tend towards being very formulaic, whereas other genres carry more scope.

Personally, I am rather tired of 'Pretty young things getting bumped off', and probably would not have much interest in this movie had a friend not worked on it.

As you so eloquantly put it... 'zzzzzz' ;o)

However, I looking forward to seeing this, for my above stated reasons :o)
