filming location

I was born and raised in southern Nevada, but all one really needs to do is spend about, oh, 5 seconds there to know that the real area 51 and surroundings looks NOTHING like what it looks like in this horrendously bad movie.

Which if I heard the movie correctly the real Area 51 is in Missouri and the government leaked specific things to draw alien enthusiasts to Nevada instead.

But it's a one of those official sci fi channel movies, of course it's bad. That's the fun in it.

"No, it's just loud."

I live in Missouri and if you look at some of the license plates on the cars, they are Missouri plates. For example that red rare beauty of a car, has Missouri plates. The city that they go to, Potosi, is a city in Missouri. I don't live in Potosi but I live in the country in Missouri and the surroundings in the movie look like my back yard.

Not to mention that the cave interiors look like they were filmed at the City Museum in downtown St. Louis...

The slide and the caves are clearly from The city museum in St. Louis. You can tell from the camera angle of the slide where the light comes from the buildings roof.... also when looking down at the omega seed you can see some of the cave figures like the fish...
