Is there anyone out there who just didn't really like this movie? Good idea just didn't really like how it played out.

I just thought it was downright awful, as with 90% of movies that try to be "artsy". The premise wasn't original, the acting was horrid, and the movie was just plain boring. Even when it was supposed to be dramatic or suspenseful I was falling asleep.

The other "vampire diaries part 1 thicker than water" isn't so hot either. I might see this one out of curiosity but judging from how I have seen this one described, the other is not a far cry from it. If you want to see the other for free go to the forum of the other movie on this site. It is being shown free for a limited time online.

I thought it drifted around average. The way the production was handled was certainly not beneficial to the film as a whole. You can tell a film is going to be incredibly low-budget when even the vampire character is for some reason dragging around a shaky handheld camera, in the process excusing all the low quality camera work, for a good chunk of the movie.

Nonetheless, the direction wasn't horrible, and the acting was generally tolerable. I enjoyed the concept of the film, even if it wasn't executed that well. Some of the writing was hideous though. There were several lines where I had to pause the movie for a moment and laugh at how lousy the piece of dialog was.

I'd give it a 5/10. Watching it wasn't a complete waste of time, but it's not exactly a film I'd recommend either.
