Will we see Gordon's face in Ep 3?

Bear with me here, I know that throughout HL so far we have been immersed in the game as it never strays from 1st person view and I'm not suggesting that should change. If it's true that the Portal Gun will feature in Ep3 it's certainly possible that Gordon could end up face to face with himself - it's a miracle he hasn't found a mirror in all this time!

What I'm trying to get at is, do you reckon that seeing his face would detract from the game at all, as a lot of people think that it has to be that way so you can immerse yourself in the experience and believe it's you, also the same reason he doesn't speak. If so, if you can see his face then he may as well start talking.

I'd love it! Mirrors are far between in fps. I would love to hear him speak too but that I can let go.

I wouldn't mind the game being a bit like crysis, where you can see your own body if you look down and see your own shadow. Simple things but it really helps to immerse you into games.

I think we have seen Gordon's face along. Y you ask I think Gordon Freeman is The G Man. I think Gordon has a split personalitity and the G-Man is the personalitity with all the powers that has basically saved Gordon's and Alex's skins. I think The G-Man takes over when there is danger such as at the end of the Half Life 2. I also that whole sequence when you had to choose which "door" to choose that Gordon went in a kind of coma like state and when the combine came The G-Man personalitity woke up the Gordon personalitity.
That is my take. Please feel free to comment on my idea.

That doesn't explain why everyone comments about how Gordon hasn't aged at all in the time since the black mesa incident. Also, other people have spoken to the G-man (Cubbage for instance) and I think they would have noticed if it was just Gordon. Plus, we all know what Gordon looks like, there are pictures of him on every half-life game case!

Also the split personality thing has been overdone in films and the such in the last few years, and would basically suck if they used it in Half-life.

When i was playing Gmod, i was messing around with the portal gun i downloaded. i shot them at corners and all i saw standing there was an arm and a portal gun. its funny that valve hasnt made a model for gordon :P

You do get to see his face in the very first Half-life. As he gets knocked out by the army, you can see his face, and whole body being dragged and carried over a bridge.

I wouln't mind seeing his face through a portal in ep3..or..god forbid a mirror lying around. It wouln't ruin the game & shatter the universe if you did for a split second..I mean come on Valve, that "get into the game character" thing is just old now.We all know what he really looks like and we all know we're PLAYING A GAME!

I also hate how he seems to be an invisible ghost.Take for example when you get into one of the vehicles, you never see his feet or arms on the wheel or.. anything when you look down.

About the G-man thing,we'll never know who he really is.Valve said they were going to give little hints and clues of the G-Man's role into all of this(like we found out in ep2 he gave Eli the crystal to Xen)but they would never fully tell you all about him.He is the main mistery to all the HL games, and if they told us..now THAT would shatter the universe.

Agreed w/ the G-Man. However, we have seen Gordon Freemans face. As mentiond before, in Halflife 1, on the box for Halflife 2. He's in pictures in the Kliners and Vance's labs ect... Everyone knows what Gordon looks like.
