Half-Life Discussion (may contain spoilers)

I've read some of the early posts on how people feel about Gordon and Alyx's relationship in the game and would sure like to see them hook up, I would to and in Dr. Vance's hint in Episode 2 who know maybe steam will build off of that. Maybe they will have a kid that you play as in Half-Life 3, who knows.

After the end of Episode 2 I really want Episode 3 to come out, I remember after Half-Life 2 came out I was pumped for HL3. Though many people think that HL2:E3 will be the last of the Half-Life series, I have an an article at the bottom about a possible Episode 4. The other article is about not expecting and Half-Life 3, which if there isn't going to be a HL3 I will be very disappointed.

The links are at the bottoms, they are very good articles, some a little outdatted but not by much, one also comments about a Half-Life movie toward the end, a movie would be really awesome. Replies will be much appreciated. Game On!

from what i remember this (ep3) is the last half-life game based off this current story arc. there has been hinted there will be more (hl3?) but what exactly it will be, we can only wait.

It sounds like they have way too many plans for the setting, characters and story elements. It's probably just a matter of time before they make another game around Freeman, but there may be other games before then, and I hope they at least give him a cameo in them.

the next portal will probably delve deeper into the hl universe

Yeah, it looks like they're meeting each other halfway as the plot is revealed, but I hope they keep their gameplay identities distinct; ie HL should remain primarily action/shooter w/some horror, and Portal should stick with physics-based puzzle-solving. If the grav gun is added to Portal 2, that would be pretty cool, but giving HL portal guns would be a bit cheesy.

i have a feeling they wont, this is valve i trust them.

imagine if EA got their filthy hands onto it, yikes.

I wouldnt mind seeing the Race-X aliens return for a grudge match
