I don't think that would work very well with the HEV suit separating them.

I dont think anything will happen between them,my guess is when Gordon destroys/kills w/e he needs to do he'll just get pulled away by the g-man and he'll most likely never see Alyx again...my guess.....
Even IF that doesnt happen...it would be kinda of an awkward relationship...seeeing as..umm...idk he never freaking talks?...yea

Haha! You could have them in a bedroom in some resistance base or wherever. When Gordon wakes up Alyx could be in the bathroom taking or shower or whatever, so the censors wouldnt object to any possible nudity, and the HEV suit could be in the corner. Alyx would only emerge from the bathroom after you put on the suit, so again there would be no implied seeing of naked bodies by characters :p

I sware to god if they have a kiss scene between them in ep 3 I will throw all my Half-Life 2 games out the window!
That hug in ep 1 was MORE than enough,a kiss would be just....so..awkward that it cant even be explained in words,it would be like having an oll out porn scene between Kleiner and Magnusson...WITH LAMAR!
And really...umm...would it look right to have Alyx's face literly infront of the camera making a weird face at you?....god forbid that sex scene with the shower/bed thing T-T

And I never said there should be a sex scene. Of course that would never happen. I said a POST sex scene, where anything naughty is only implied and not seen. Since we see through Gordons eyes we dont see him naked, and since Alyx is out of the room till you put the HEV suit on, you dont see her naked either (she would come back in fully dressed)

You can bet the plot for Half-Life 3 will have very little in commun with 2,just like it was for 1.HL3 is probably gonna be portal themed and you'll be playing as the girl from the Portal game with the portal gun,the Borealis in ep 3 might shed some light on this.
I HOPE everything goes well for Gordon's end in ep3,but we all know the guy isn't very lucky with..happy endings..so..the G-man is most likely gonna snatch him up still a virgin......poor nerd

Also..how can you tell Lamarr is a she??????.....and NO,thats their mouth which they use to control people....u nasty..

Your probably right about the Gman snatching him away. Its not like I had high hopes of a scene like the one I suggested would happen. I just think it would be good if it did.

And technically headcraps are genderless parasites. But Kliener refers to Lamarr as a female. And thats good enough for me :)

First of all I thought that they weren't going to do an HL:3. that ep's 1, 2, and 3 were taking it's place...

As for deepening the relationship, I imagine that it would be a simple kiss at the end of HL2:ep 3. However through my own perversity and thinking of the perversity that the game designers have showed, I imagine it would go something like this...

Gordon has just defeated whatever it is he needs to defeat in the final episode(assuming it's not the G-Man). The camera pulls back from a first to a third person view, as Gordon pulls off the helmet of his suit. Alyx run up to him and they begin a kiss, that dos on for maybe all of 2 seconds, when suddenly, everything stops and from out of no where walks the G-Man.

It's pretty obvious that Alyx is going to survive, she's valve's baby (I think they were trying to make their dream girl: nerdy, hot, and nice to the nerdy guy) but I definatly foresee a bitter sweet ending. The Gordan/alyx relationship, like someone else said, is different from most games relationships. I don't think there will be any "Gordan I LOVE YOU" moments, more like an attraction that takes a back seat to saving everything. Alyx will prolly be moving up to kiss you or something when the Gman comes up and is like "I hate to interrupt, Mr. Freeeeman"

I remember how much I wanted to just pull out my gun and blow his brains out in the end of HL2 (back in those days when we thought that it's going to be another six years for HL3 and another setting) I rarely get annoyed like that by a fictional char.
You know, he stares Gordon a bit too unpleasantly. Maybe G-man is a gay predator just waiting for Gordon to take off that HEV suit and bend down...

Headcrabs are not genderless! Go back to HL1. Gonarch was, according to the game developers in the HL2: Raising the Bar book, a very aged headcrab, and that big sac swingin' under it was a testicle.

IMO, Valve will hookup Gordon and Alyx. Its been building up ever sinse HL2 and like mentioned earlier, HL2:E1 continued with it, as did HL2:E2 and im hoping they just get together (in the name of Eli or someone/something) and get it on! seriously, i wouldnt wanna mess with their kids oneday

But THINK about it! Valve states HL2:E3 WONT be the end of the HL franchise and what better way to lure Gordon back into the Arena (after HL2:E3) then have the G_Man kidnap/take/wateva his children or Alyx. I mean CMON, sounds good doesnt it . Oh well, one can wish cant they? :D

It could end with a happy ending interrupted by the G-man.
He says to Gordon that he has done well and so on and G-man might have further use for Gordon but now he may have a moment of peace. "For how longghh-h? I rreallly can't ssayy... But I guesss you have-e earnedd ittt.... Until we meet. Mr. Freeemaannn..."
*Back from the stasis to the deck of Borealis, few lines from Alyx and roll the credits*
Happy ending with enough continuum for a possible far future sequel.

But I really, really wish Gordon would say something in the final episode, otherwise he would be just too boring - and not a guy I could imagine anyone (even Lamarr) getting attached to...

Here's how the final scene will go.

The forces of the combine have been vanquished for all time. Gordon and Alyx are sttling in their new home. Alyx says. "Now that the supression field is gone, lwhat do you say we put that to the test?" as she removes her hoodie, then starts unbuttoning her shirt.

We finally see Gordon as he opens his mouth to say something but she puts her finger over his lips with a "Ssssshhh" as shew removes his glasses.

Pan over to the desk on the other side of the room. On the desk is a picture of Gman. His eyes move over to look at them and he smiles, only to be momentarily caught off guard as her bra lands beside the frame and then her panties land on the top of the frame as the scene goes to black. "Oooh, pandaaas... Whoda thunk?"

"be sssseeing you... Doctor Freemaaan..."

G-man isn't Gordon Freeman from the future, but maybe he is Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance's future child, on a mission to keep the storyline so that he gets born and the future where the combine is defeated is made possible.

If you pay attention to detail and also listen to the commentary tracks, you will know that the story implies a certain attraction between them. So it's not far fetched that they will come together in one way or another.
I also believe that this attraction is more belivable then most games out there.

The trinity of Oneiro is watching from across the roots of Yggdrasil.

Eli said before he died "You must destroy the Borealis, *whatever the cost*" Either you or Alyx will die in the Borealis, it is too obvious. Even though it is obvious to us, the love aspect will never get said because of one of the demises.

I don't think anyone is REALLY serious about Gordon getting himself a little brown sugar. At least not in an actual game. Anyone TRULY hard up for that can probably find erotic fan fiction or art on the matter somewhere.

I would LIKE for them to become an item, but I don't really feel I NEED to see Gordon giving Alyx the buisness end of his gluon gun.

G-Man shagging Judith in Chumtoad's lair, however... THAT'S a whole other story.

There is absolutely NO reason to beleive Gordon or Alyx is guaranteed to die. That notion's just plain foolhardy.

When Eli said it the ONLY meaning behind it was that it was vitally important that the Borealis needs to be destroyed. Nothing more. "At any cost" was simply dramatic effect. At most one could infer that "At all costs" means that sacrificing your lives MAY be a possibility. The consequences are that dire. But there's a difference between telling someone to place the safety of mankind over your own, and saying you absolutely HAVE to die in order for it to work.

That's like saying "Wake up and smell the ashes" is a guarantee that Barney or Dr Kliner are going to perish in a fire.

Eli's gone. That's ENOUGH major supporting cast deaths. I don't see Alyx ying. I don't see Gordon dying. Judith? Possibly. It's far more likely Judith would sacrifice herself to save them both and guaranteeing the destruction of the Borealis than either Alyx and Gordon dying. I'm not saying no one else will die, but Eli's death is enough dramatic impetus to drive the story forward, at least for now.

In fact Id be willing to bet money that if a revelation was made by Valve that ALL but two of the heroes will die, that those two survivors would be Gordon and Alyx.

Yea your right. Alyx won't die because she's way too importaint of a character and I don't think they would kill her off after killing her dad. And Gordon won't die because you've already worked hard as a player to keep him alive and it would be hard and unfair to kill him off in a cutscene.

Alyx won't die because I think the player is too attached to Alyx by this point. Valve know if they let Alyx die it would be cruel because the player has grown to like her so much. They know if Alyx were to die, it would be fair too tragic and players would not want it to end that way.

Maybe Gordon will die. Think about this, you and Alyx are flying, driving or running away from the Borelis. You stop, look back and the ship explodes. Alyx turns and smiles, but her face quickly turns to horror. You turn around and there is a strider. Its large cannon fires and...everything freezes. Alyx, the strider, even the Borelis's explosion are frozen. The Gman steps out from behind the strider. "So, Doctor Freeman, we're back to square one. My contacts are convinced that you are to dangerous to be left alive." (Everything fades to black) "As for your friend, she'll be, unharmed. I'm sorry I can't say the same for you." The words, SUBJECT: GORDON FREEMAN...TERMINATED appear on the screen. You then here the Gman saying, "No hard feelings, Gordon." (in the backround you can hear Alyx crying)

I think if Valve decides to kill Gordon off...I think it should be the player's own volition. Say you have to somehow sacrifice yourself so Alyx can live...I know I would do that.

If they do kill Alyx off in some way I also want to make sure I can get swift and brutal revenge. If G-man *beep* with her again I would love to take my crowbar and smash his face in.

All that being said...I really don't want either to die. Valve has already broke my heart when they killed Eli.

That's a very good argument right there, and one that the developers themselves take into account, if you listen to the commentaries. They often talk about how they think players will feel if something happens, and whether they will feel frustrated or not.

Id hate for this Series to end with eithe of them Dyning i mean it's weird after Gordon has saved Alyx life so many times she doesn't even kiss him.But i would hope that they both survivie and start a Relationship.But they need to get Gordon to speak in the next game.
