Liberals would hate Bush without the war

That is what liberals do, they hate anyone who doesn't share their outlook on all the issues. And, it would not matter to them if he helped the economy in any indirect way. They would still pull out all kinds of inequalities and blame them on him.

If liberals were willing to dislike Clinton for pushing the Democratic party to the center, then they were never going to give Bush a chance. They were going to hate him from the day he was sworn into office.

it's not fair to say liberals hate people who don't agree with them because every person who identifies with any party is like that.

i don't like people who want to take my gun away. i don't like people who want me to stop smoking in public places. and i don't like people who think that american politics have to be divided between liberal and conservative.

reply

Liberalism in its nature is not insincere, but today many of the people who embrace it have taken on a false humility that is no longer so veiled.

Yeah, the libs are based on hatred. They claim to hate the rich, oil, war, money, others, races, sexes, tradition, economy, capitalism, modernism, on and on and on....
The libtards base their whole premise for existence on HATRED - UNLIKE
THEIR DEMOCRATIC FOREFATHERS
Who not so long ago fought WW2 and NUKED THE HELL OUT OF TWO JAP CITIES.
Then Ratched up vietnam and whacked 3 million *beep*

YES, NOW THE LIBTARDS MURDER 4,209 BABIES A DAY WITH ROE VS WADE, OR...

47 MILLION DEAD AMERICAN BABIES SINCE THEY MADE IT THEIR MAIN PARTY PLANK.

MAKE NO MISTAKE - THEY ARE VISCIOUS BLOOD LUSTING DEMONS.
AND THEY LIE ABOUT IT EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.

Well silicondoc, I wouldn't take it that far, but if your animosity toward the liberals in this country is that rabid, well then you know who to vote for in November.

Agreed. Would they be Bush lovers and pro war if they had found WMD?

reply

To be fair, OP, liberals are not much different from conservatives in that regard. Bush, and every Republican president/candidate in history has been portrayed by the media as an idiot. Any slip of the tongue or fib gets replayed endlessly on the air. If a democratic candidate does the same thing it is mentioned briefly, attributed to fatigue, and then never brought up again. That's the American media for you.

So the radical right is full of wonderful non-haters? Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly are really thoughtful, educated representatives who allow opposing voices on their show and never preach fear or hate? Anne Coulter never put out a book called "Godless," referring to liberals? Sending U.S. troops, young men and women, to a war based on greed, lies and special interest fantasy is a-okay, but killing fetuses that never breathed air because their mother was raped, or a victim of incest, is grounds for the firing squad?
Republicans never chanted "kill him," referring to Obama, at McCain/Palin rallies?

Although I was not a huge fan of Ronald Reagan or Bush Sr, I didn't "hate" them. Surprisingly, I didn't "hate" GWB either. I actually felt sympathy towards him in this movie. He was a puppet to higher, darker forces (I believe Dick Cheney is truly evil). GWB has been rather dignified during the first months of Obama's presidency--something we cannot say about Cheney, Rush and idiots like Joe the (faux) Plumber.

Dude means nice guy. Dude means a regular sort of person.

Hmmm... I look on this post in context with the situation 2 years later. Reverse Democrat & Republican, liberal & conservative. It plays the exact same way.

Americans only see in black and white. They need to adjust the resolution of their brain to at least 256 shades of gray. Extremism just doesn't work. You don't have to be in the middle where everyone agrees on everything...that doesn't work either.

Bush made some serious mistakes. His dad tried to make that clear to him. Clinton made mistakes, as did Daddy Bush, Reagan...how far back you want to go? I personally think that GWB is the worst of the lot, but it's not about politics, parties, or religions...it's about making smart decisions that affected the entire planet.

Obama stepped in a steaming pile, unfortunately. I feel like he's doing what he can given what he had to work with, which wasn't much. He hasn't done a good job, but he hasn't done a bad job. The chances of him serving a second term are probably negligible. I don't care if a Republican takes office again, but it cannot be one so far right-of-center that we plunge ourselves deeper into this nativist, hateful state-of-being that we come to be in.

reply

Probably true, but irrelevant.

Without the War, W & al wouldn't be war criminals. The US wouldn't face the largest deficit ever. Oh, and ISIS wouldn't exist!

Yeap, sounds good to me!

The Democratic Party is the party of hate. They absolutely despise, with a mouth-foaming hostility, anyone who isn't just as intolerant and ignorant as they are.

hahahahaha, too funny, written in March 2008 about how Bush helped the economy. HAHA, you should have waited about 6 more months to post that.

Liberals hate Bush cause he ignored warnings about 9/11, used 9/11 to lie us into Iraq, bungled Iraq, dropped ball on AQ and OBL, fiddled while New Orleans drowned, tortured people and then sat over the collapse of our economy.

If Obama did ONE of those things conservatives would be calling for his head. Christ you righties want to impeach him for universal health care
