Anyone saw the premiere ?

Has anyone saw the premiere on Lifetime TV ?

reply

Yeah. I watched it a while back. It was okay. Nothing special. Corny ending.

Did you think that Michelle Stafford was good in her role ? What about Billy Moses and Dani Kind ?

Just wondering, are you a promoter of this movie? Or are you in the movie? Have some interest in it...? I'm curious if you are in the industry as you have a lot of knowledge about this movie (and others)....

As you seem so interested in feedback...I watched it tonight. It was 'alright' but certainly not great. I found it difficult to believe the character's reactions of all concerned when they find out that their daughter/ex-gf/friend/fellow student has just been brutally murdered and buried in a shallow grave (ie, it didn't take long to find her). Saw a lot of apathy around the character's tragic violent death which seemed to be minimized by a lack of reaction all round (or was it just bad acting? Bad script? Bad directing?). Not sure, but it's just how it came across to me.

I particularly noticed it when the ex-boyfriend (Keith) leaves a half-baked monotone message on the murdered girl's mother's answer machine "I'm sorry about your daughter....I can't believe she's gone" and gives out this half huff/laugh combination (presumably supposed to be 'total disbelief') but comes across more as sounding 'bummed' as though the Canucks just lost a game....just all a bit of a bummer. Wasn't getting the vibe of anything more.

I wasn't feeling the burn on this one. I tried...

Thanks alwright for your comments and feedback. To answer your questions 1) maybe 2) maybe 3) maybe. LOL

I guess my problem is that I know too much as you're saying :)

to the man who knows too much...haha. Okay, so a combo of bad acting, directing and script it is then!?

Onward & upwards. Back to Hollywood. Just watched Da Vinci Code. As is usually the case, the book was better as it 'translated' better than on screen. Credit to Ron Howard though, as it is a tough act to follow on the book which was so well written, read and marketed. However, unlike LMLD, there was good acting, good script and a good director so fair game. LOL.

I'm a novice at this this. Just started. Like to try and keep it all above board and quasi intellectual and knowledgeable (as much as I'm capable, haha) rather than simply "this movie sucks". Hmmmm. Yah, a bit more substance me thinks.

Take care and see ya around the other boards.

Do you remember the names of the characters? They're not listed correctly. I can't remember the daughter's name.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

reply

Yes, they will have to fix the listing for this movie. They're missing many people. The daugther was played by Dani(elle) Kind who currently listed as Actress only.

WHEN IS IT PREMMEIRING IN CNAADA ?

reply

I don't know, probably in many months unless you pay-per-view.

However, it will be shown on Lifetime USA on August 28 which might very close of the date that they will release the DVD...

reply

where will they release the movie(in canada)

reply

Michelle Stafford did a fairly good job. She could've been a wee bit more convincing. Billy Moses on the other hand was totally convincing as the killer with remorse.

reply

saw it not a very good movie

Finally, SOMEONE GRABS A KNIFE FROM THE KITCHEN! I can't tell you how many times I've seen the hero/heroine miss this little convenience. For that and also that the mother was a lot less dense then most women in movies of this type, I can't say too much negative stuff about it.
