Delicious little blasphemous gore epic!

Obviously, Kane Hodder was the selling point for this film and he did a credible job in dual roles, but the real star of this little gem is Alex D'Lerma's deliciously twisted script! Coupled with a great cast, Born turned out to be something really special! Alison Brie was lovely to look at but a little too young and inexperienced for such a showy role, but her novice acting fit really well with her virginal character. And Vince Lozano was a real find as Ivan, the mongoloid handyman. And the crush of my youth, Denise Crosby, was given the chance to show what a great actress she has always been! Of course, Bing would be spitting up blood in his grave if he saw this film. The CGI was very weak, but that is to be expected in small films with tiny budgets. I am a Christian, and I found the sacriligeous moments to be hysterical! Virgin birth-CHECK! Plentiful female nudity-CHECK! Demon sex-CHECK! Hot naked twin demon slaves-CHECK! Decapitations-CHECK! If you look past the obvious weaknesses, this film is really creative and unique. Richard Friedman has done some interesting little horror films in his time, and Born fits very well in his canon!

I've got a hundred dollars...let's fall in love.
