Is it me or did Gravity Falls play a part in this show's declining popul

Around 2010-2011, people on the internet were praising this show and saying that it was a godsend to modern cartoons and that it was better than Kim Possible and on it's way to becoming the next SpongeBob, sharing a similar levels of success and it was spawning alot of merchandise You couldn't go anywhere without seeing Perry, this show was largely popular around internet animation circles during the very early 2010s between teenagers and adults, more so than kids actually. There was a movie for theatres planned and multiple spinoffs (With only one made).

However, it just seems like to me that ever since Gravity Falls came out, people started to outgrow this show to the point of flatout hating it (Especially the people that once liked PnF) and constantly complaining about it's repetition, lack of character development (I'm sorry but GF isn't about character development, I love it but it's mostly about solving mysteries at a summer camp), songs in every episode and overall finding faults and flaws with this show that most of the shows popular in animation circles also have to have, in fact more so than Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb's ratings have dropped when Gravity Falls became popular, the show has started to become irrelevant, the fanbase has significantly unfortunately dropped and more than half of them have moved onto the GF fanbase among others popular in animation circles, it's enough that the Mission Marvel crossover's Youtube page had nothing but people complaining about how "terrible" the show is and how formulaic it is and alot of people have started complaining about the show's formula on alot of sites ever since. It's enough that the theatrical movie was cancelled. and I'm saying this as a giant Phineas and Ferb fan and I have been since the early days, I really truly feel that Gravity Falls incidentally played a huge part in people outgrowing the show and as a result, it has declined heavily in popularity which is really sad because I still think this show is brilliant and alot of the complaints, while opinions make me cringe considering they themselves once loved this show before Falls came out (It's probably because Gravity Falls is an edgier take on summer siblings having fun). It just seems to me that alot of these complaints are excuses because they don't want to admit they outgrew it and moved onto Gravity Falls, Adventure Time and other shows (I don't mean to sound fanboyish here, but how is it that half of these people that complain about this show's formula were once fans and only started complaining when those shows either came out or became popular?!).

I'm not saying everyone hates it as a result of Gravity Falls, PnF still does have some fans (Me included) but I wouldn't be lying if I said that I think this show had alot to do with PnF's demise in popularity.

Not me! I don't watch gravity falls...have zero interest. I love Perry the platypus! Don't watch wander over yonder either.

Rumpbelle is an insult to the real Beauty and the Beast story!

In my family we watch both shows and love them both equally.

We love both shows in our family, but rarely watch them because they're never on. Disney shows 6-10 episodes of Jessie or Austin and Ally everyday, but can't air this at least once? 3am doesn't count. SpongeBob is still popular because they still air it at a time when kids can actually watch it.

We watch P&F on Netflix.

P&F airs a lot of disney XD

the cartoons were transitioned from the main channel to disney XD which is probalby what hurt the ratings more tha anything else

I thought the decline started with Fish Hooks. It used to be they had the slot just for Phineas and Ferb. Then they split it with some other lame show that nobody liked.

Look at the schedule again. Fish Hooks hasn't aired on Disney Channel in quite a few months now. Phineas and Ferb is aired throughout the whole 5:00 AM EST hour daily.
