How'd they make her lips so big?

The makeup people probably have techniques using lighter and darker colors of makeup to shade them to make them look bigger. especially when they're so shiny. I know they do that with bronzer and highlighter on actresses bobs a lot, so I don't think lips would be much different.

Unless she did it on her own, I doubt the director would ask her to get any kind of plastic surgery just for a role.
