It was a made for TV film and they rarely get put on DVD, unless there's a huge demand for it.

It is to be released on DVD soon. Probably before christmas. There was an advert for the DVD in the end credits.

Be forewarned that DVDs sold at the above two sites are coded for Region 2 (UK, Europe, Japan, South Africa and Middle East) which means they will not play on players set for Region 1 (North America).

My dad works for british television and we got it free along with about another 20 other DVD's of British TV, oh yeh Lol. Dont worry you americans, a year will go by in no time, no wait a second!

saw two out of the ten clips on youtube. so far it's good even though i know i will be crying towards the end.

also found december boys on youtube ( really good). now let's see if someone can upload ballet shoes

went on leaky cauldron, sounds like my boy jack will on pbs in april. still watching on the youtube though ( in the middle of clip 5, really good)

The film will be playing in the United States on April 20 as part of the Masterpiece Theatre presentation on PBS. It's very far in the future, but nice to know if you'd rather not buy the DVD.

If you live near the Canadian border you may be able to see it on TVO (Canada's PBS). They just showed it on Sunday (Jan. 20). I'm impressed Canada got it so quickly - it was only shown in the UK in November. They also got the Jane Austen series about a month earlier. Maybe it's from being part of the Commonwealth...

Yeah, I'm Australian and I've never heard of this movie before. (And I check the papers/movie review magazines etc, so I know about most of the new releases in Oz).
