Did Kipling marry an American?

That wasn't completely clear in the movie, and Wikipedia is not clear, either.

So did Rudyard Kipling marry an Amercan? If not, why did they cast Kim Cattrall?

Yes, Rudyard Kipling's wife was American, and they lived in the US for many years when the children were young.

OK, thanks. I was aware that they lived in America for several years, but not that she was American.

By the way someone whould make that clear on Wikipedia, if you would. Thanks.

Better yet: why don't you learn to use proper reference sources for your research, rather than something as notoriously untrustworthy as Wikipedia???

Just sayin'.

I didn't use only that for my research -- I also researched thoroughly on Google and GoogleBooks, etc. I suggested that someone make the facts clear on Wikipedia because that's the source many people turn to to the exclusion of all else.

Speaking of Wikipedia errors, it lists John being born in August 1896, yet it also lists his older sister, Elsie, as being born in February 1896. Other references I've found show John was born in August 1897 which should be correct since all witness accounts of his death is in September 1915 and he was listed as 18 years old at time of death.
