A Masterpiece

Masterpieces are rare, but every so often a film such as this comes
along and delivers.

The story is of the son of the famous writer Rudyard Kipling during the
first world war. Jingosim is the main subject of this story and Rudyard
Kipling transformational arc on his views of sending his son to war.

Despite this being made for TV its at a standard that puts many
blockbusters to shame, The screenplay is impeccable and the
performances astounding. David Haig as Rudyard Kipling is perfect.
Daniel Radcliffe despite being the famous face of Harry Potter makes
the role his own as Jack. And Kim Cattrall proves shes more than being
the slutty one from Sex And The City.

Thought provoking and emotional without being Cliché i feel i cannot
give this film anything but a perfect score, a truly beautiful film.

I hope this film receives the attention it deserves.

I entirely agree. It IS a masterpiece. I have just finished watching it twice on DVD and God only knows how many times I have watched the excerpts on Youtube. It's rather spooky that you sent your message on Armistice Day and I am writing this on the anniversary of the declaration of war by the UK in 1914.

David Haig's labor of love is both poignant and powerful; his portrayal of Rudyard Kipling as a poet, patriot and parent is astounding. Daniel Radcliffe's portrayal as John Kipling is quite convincing and well done; his transition to other areas and aspects of his craft notes his ability to act and desire to move forward in career. While not necessarily an epic film, the wide array of emotions both expressed and felt in Haig's "My Boy Jack" do indeed make this production a masterpiece.
