A movie about a two vapid people with NO MORALS

I watched this film this weekend and kept commenting to myself that the Veronica/Lisa character had virtually no morals or redeeming qualities. That made me laugh at the idea that Pelle would turn the cab around to go back to her. First, she picks him up after work at the restaurant she works at and takes him to a sleazy party. Then she lets him stay at her place and puts him in her roommate's room only to decide that she really just wants to bop him, so that's what they do. They bop, bop and bop for a few days. She calls into work sick so she can bop him some more. When he tells her how he used to travel around for a Danish tv show to help people, she makes fun of it. How utterly tacky. She write her phone number on his arm and using a fake name but then tells him that she doesn't want his number. I guess this is supposed to be a two-night stand, but her actions and her words are inconsistent.

Then the poor bastard gets killed in a car accident, apparently, we are to believe, because he fell in love with Veronica/Lisa. So what does the goofy girl do? She feels so guilty she decides to go to Denmark. She basically breaks into Pelle's place and starts to live there until she runs into Pelle's friend Soren, who also has few morals. Then she lies to Pelle's family about the nature of her relationship with Pelle until that blows up in her face at Pelle's funeral, of all places, when Pelle's two friends show up. What did she think was going to happen when they saw her???? So when the mother slaps her for lying, what does she do???? She lies AGAIN by saying she is pregnant with Pelle's child!!! The family sends her home and on her drive to the airport, who comes running after her with a bloody lip?? Soren! He begs her to stay and tells her they can make a baby and claim that it it Pelle's to please his family. Can you believe this??? So there is Veronica/Lisa kissing Soren in the car, getting his blood on her face.

This movie was about two moraless people (Veronica/Lisa and Soren) who come together at the expense of the tragic death of a naive Danish tourist who happened to meet, and apparently fall for, the wrong girl.

I was told this film was an amazing by a female friend, well, let me just say we aren't friends anymore. If only I had seen this movie sooner, I would have seen that my female friend was just as vapid and without morals as the female character in this movie. She basically praised the film, saying that it accurately showed loved or something, now seeing the film, finally, I can come to the re-validate that my one time friend was a total nimrod.

They should have called this film, Have Vagina Will Travel.

I was so disgusted with this film and even more that I at one time had a female friend who could relate to such soulless drivel.

Well said, sir. I´m glad someone else out there was as appalled by this film as I was.

It's a good thing the whole world isn't as self-righteously flawless as you lot or else no good art would be made.

You are absolutely right. Good observation, sir.

I'm not sure if I agree with you 100 percent but this movie is stupid. I'm in the middle of watching this movie. I'm actually tempted at turning it off after seeing the direction it's going in(just did before I finished writing this). I thought this was supposed to be a quirky romantic movie, obviously I read the information wrong. I've seen some dumb movies and usually try to stick it out till the end. But I just had to cut this crap off. I kinda get what the filmmakers were doing. This film may have seemed like a good idea in their heads, but it really should have stayed there.

Most of everyone on this thread is complaining about the sexual morals of the characters. I don't really care about that. What I really don't get is the female lead. Why didn't she give the police the guys phone number and city of residence after she found the info on her bed? Why did she just hop on a plane to Denmark or whatever and break into his apartment. Did she plan on living there for awhile and then going back home? She didn't even attempt to try to find his friends or family to notify them. Apparently the cops in her hometown were good at their job, I thought it would take the family much longer to find out about Pelle (the male lead?). I guess he had I.D. on him. That one cop make it seem like he didn't and that whole scene really didn't make any sence what so ever. I could go on and on, but this film was just too out there.

I wasn't focusing on the sexual morals of the characters in my original post. I couldn't care less about that either. I was commenting on the commpletely immoral and irresponsible behavior of Lisa and Soren in general.
