Great film.

Not enough threads here. Just wanted to start one. Watched this on HBO Latino yesterday. I don't speak a lick of Spanish so the scenes with Derrick and his mother went right over my head. I'll have to catch the version with English subtitles. But anyhow, most of the film was in English and I was glued from start to finish. These characters were truly authentic. Who in here doesn't know a "Tico"? LOL. That car wreck scam had me gut laughing. The ending was truly telling of the post 9/11 world. If Derrick were a Wall Street yuppie, I doubt that cop halts him. To think that he'd just served this country, too. Again, truly telling of the world we're living in.

I got to watch this on HBO and it was a good film. I found it MOST interesting that Tico got a hero's welcome home, after being locked up for drug possession and distribution, but Odalis, he came home to NOTHING after serving the entire country. This world is full of Tico's and it is a shame they are given any glory while the Derrick's of the world struggle.

Did you guys know it cost 200k to make this film?

To think of all the times I wasted 90 minutes of my life sitting threw an action, special effects blockbuster that cost millions to make, here's one of the best films I've seen in the past few years that cost practically nothing.
