It is so odd for a show in the internet age to disappear...

How can a show shown on a national television station, Nick, totally disappear and there be no announcements or anything?

It blows my mind!

reply

Considering, nobody watched the show willingly, no announcement was needed.

Now we got the money, and the pot!

I don't think it has disappeared. It's been on NickToons (not Nick) with new episodes for the last few months.

Thanks for the Info!

Unfortunately, I just have cable, no satellite, so I can't watch it.

It looks like only half a dozen or so new episodes aired in 07 and 08, so it's still kinda odd.

Odd that they don't have a regularly updated fan page /website so people can keep up with it - not just an old Nick one.

Odd that there is no DVD release.

Don't worry, I feel your pain!

It's even worse here in Canada! They've only been showing the mini 5-minute episodes here for nearly the last 12 months. I was fortunate enough to catch most of Season 1 when it aired here a couple years back, but nothing new since then, and there are no plans to show the lost ep's of S1, or any of S2 in the future! Luckily for YOU, most of S1 is available on itunes in the US, and I hope that the rest of the episodes will eventually follow suit. Not as good as a dvd release, but better than nothing :).

The reason there's no official website (now), is most likely because the show has finished production, so there probably won't be a Season 3. If you still want a fix for what the creators have been up to, there's two shows that have come out recently that they have a hand in...

Big And Small (for preschoolers)

Apollo's Pad (for adults only)

Where do you find all this info?

Also - quite weird for them to be involved in two totally different ends of the spectrum - preschoolers and adults only?

reply

Heh :) Because (usually), google is my friend.

But mostly because I'm a massive Mr Meaty fan (I think it's comedy gold), and I have HUGE amounts of respect for all the cool things that Jason Hopley and Jamie Shannon have done over the years, and I will go to any lengths to keep up to date with what they're up to. The incredible attention to detail, no matter how minute, in all their shows, is just mind blowing. So, yeah, I have MAD respect for them!

Yeah, kinda strange to have the two extremes in demographics.... with 'Mr. Meaty' and 'Swami Jeff's Temple of Wisdom' somewhat inbetween. Just goes to prove how awesome and versatile they are, in my opinion :).
