this is a Canadian television series?

I am, and I was excited when I saw it was coming to US television, since I've graduated from college and I don't live close enough to the border to watch it on CBC anymore ;)

I am American and I think while not all the pranks are great there are some that are well thought out and bring me to tears. It tries to satisfy many different comedy tastes. We need shows like this so we can have some variety. The only thing I find annoying as hell is Rick Miller. Who the hell is Rick Miller?! Well, the director's name is Troy Miller, so I'm assuming that he's a brother or cousin or something. He has no filmography and is butt ugly.

Montreal hosts a Just for Laughs Festival every year in the summer, so it makes sense that the show is filmed in Montreal.
