he's been off his game. from the cartoonish land of the dead to diary.
he's just run out of ideas. if he does anotherone I wish he would just find a better script rather than the gimmick of a documentary or social commentary.
I was surprised how unrealistic the dialog and acting was for a seasoned profesionals film.
Are you suggesting his previous films had better dialogue and acting? Diary was a return to his true form in my opinion... just as cheese as his old films.(Land seemed to be his hollywood cash in/ attempt to make it big time)
Romero is no seasoned pro... he is a hollywood washout, a one hit wonder who is now a straight-to video movie maker...
(I still own and watch all of his zombie movies, but they rank among the many low-grade zombie flicks to me. None of his movies would make my top 5 zombie films... not sure if they would hit my top 10... but who cares, that's just me. Glad you like him though :)
Lol, old Romero hasn't been "good" for years now. I remember when Return of the Living Dead was being made. The guys doing that movie were hoping for some support and respect from Romero, who they considered the master of zombie films. He acted like a complete d ick towards them and refused any permission or help. Funny part is that movie blew all of his films completely out of the water and is a bonafide cult classic now!
