this movie is aweful - final nail in romero coffin for me

survival is bad but watchable. this is just horrendous film making not only are ALL the characters really badly written - but they are also really badly acted. not one of them was able to redeem another with a stand out performance. terribly flat story, which probably sounded good on paper but when told through THE WORST found footage telling of a story i have ever encountered - wow. bad.

Romero has become an over blown hack - hopped up on all his fan boys and girls who unfortunately only recall the genre defining stuff pre 90s. the only good thing george has attached his name to since 2000 was dawn of the dead and fortunately they had the good sense not to let him near a camera.

I don't think this movie was bad, I just thought it beat us over the head with the social commentary a bit too much. It seemed to me like it was more about social commentary than story or characters as a matter of fact. If I heard a character say "If it's not on camera, it's like it didn't happen" one more time....

I think George should've just let the story speak for itself rather than have the pretentious narrator say something deep about our obsession with technology and the need to document our entire lives on camera every ten minutes. I think most of us are smart enough to catch on to what the film is trying to say without the narration reminding us "hey, this is what the film is about." The message is pertinent, but it should've been delivered in a more subtle way. Other than that, the film isn't as bad as people say.

George made two good movies and okay third one and the rest are garbage... I don't understand it. It's like a shadow of what he used to be

The Crazies

The rest are ok.

I think Diary was light years better than Survival
