Was this really made post-2010?
I ask because the movie looks like and sounds like an early 2000s low budget DTV horror.
The blond did whip out a flip phone so I guess that's one clue.
released in 2008 - and it shows. They have Flip-Phones.
shareBased on the hair styles, I would say it was filmed even earlier. I believe I had a phone with a qwerty keyboard in 2008, and I'm not exactly a tech person - that flip style was popular in, like, '05 (plus, the kid didn't even have one, he borrowed his dad's). It even had the antenna you pull out!

Well it did say it was set in 2006. And if it was released in 2008, of course it was filmed earlier. Movies usually take about a 1 or 2 of post-production and depending on distribution deals can lay on the shelf even longer.
