Two things about Rochel and her mom
First, Rochel's accent was very strange, and didn't sound like either her mom or her dad. It might very well be appropriate for orthodox Jews in Brooklyn, but people grow up to sound at least a little like their families.
Second, Rochel's mom looked Sephardic (southern, darker skinned Jews), not Ashkenazi (European, ligher skinned Jews). Not that there's anything wrong with that, but Rochel's family was clearly Ashkenazi, and it looked like Rochel's mom was playing a game of, "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong . . . "
I asked the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
