'Big Shots' Star Has Hopes for the Show

Buddy TV has a nice article and a poll (scroll to the bottom.)

I read that too! I really hope Joshua is right because I don't want this show to be canceled. I mean, what's the harm in producing more episodes? It gets at least 5 million viewers each week, which may not be up to ABC's Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Dancing With the Stars standard, but it's certainly better than like the 3 million people who watch The CW's Gossip Girl and Top Model, which are considered successes. And ABC and the CW are both considered major networks, too.

Since no one seems to have any really solid information regarding whether or not this show has been cancelled, I'm going to continue to keep my fingers crossded because I really like the show and I think it's getting better and better with each episode.

Sure. But Gossip girls is on a network with lower ratings and viewers in general and Top model is a reallity show, and therefor a lot cheaper... A show like big shots is expensive. Great sets, well known actors, nice cars, nice suits, pretty much nice everything. And they have to pay that somehow. If it warent for the strike it would have been pulled allready. But I am also hoping it will pick up and get a second season.

Oh it's obvious that big money is being poured into BIG SHOTS...from the look of the show, the budget probably rivals DYNASTY's budget back in the 80's, but it's worth it and I would rather see any of the other shows you mentioned pulled than cancel BIG SHOTS.

reply

Yes, but sadly that is not the way the world works. Each show has to be profitable in its own right. Its not a matter of taste, its a matter of money. Its called showBUSINESS for a reason....

reply

I haven't heard anything recently but the last I heard is that Big Shots was making money.
