Goodbye...

Goodbye Big Shots. Obviously ABC doesn't plan to do anything with the show. No new episodes ordered, not even those other 2 they never filmed. So thanks, ABC, for canceling another good show. I mean COME ON! It was getting better ratings than all the shows on the CW, and since they're both major networks, it's fair to compare them.

I actually liked this show and I wanted to see what would happen with the baby, Duncan's psycho wannabe son, James and Katie, and Brody and his wife were becoming a very interesting couple.

A lot of people were saying they saw an increase of script quality in the show. I didn't. I thought it got worse as the show progressed and I started to lose interest. I did, however, watch every episode when it premiered and I would support it if it ever came back. But as of right now, I'm kind of over the fact it got canceled.

I still have a small glimmer of hope it could come back. However reading about people attached to other projects doesn't provide alot of confidence.

Here are some Big Shots cast/crew working on other movies and TV.

Diane Ruggiero and Jonathan Levin (writers, producers) is working on Mythogical X for CBS.

Rob Thomas is working on two projects for the CW network.

Paige Turco (Lisbeth) is working on "The Stepfather" remake film for Screen Gems(Sony).

Rob Thomas is also working on Cupid for ABC which was I believe part of the deal that got him to Big Shots.

Paige's movie should be finished in plenty of time should ABC decide to renew Big Shots for next season.

On youtube during the strike, I saw a interviwed of one the stars of the show ( idk who cuz I don't wacth this show) saying that the show wasn't cancel, but that it would return after the strike, but idk.All the other shows came back like Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, etc. So maybe it won't return?!?.?

I liked Big Shots. I thought it was a pretty good show. It was kinda like Desperate Housewives but with men instead of the women. I love Dylan McDermott, Michael Vartan and Christopher Titus. They are all good actors and it's a shame that ABC dumped this show when there are so many other shows they could drop (like Dirty Sexy Money and Eli)

I've always felt, even from the very beginning, ABC 'never' really wanted this show on their network anyhow (too many well-known actors, TOO MUCH money, who cares about the Thursday time slot, they'll very likely bomb anyway is what I'm sure they were thinking.).

It sometimes amazed me how they were able to go from 'comedy' and 'drama' so quickly, especially the scenes with Duncan. Also, the 'chemistry' with Michael Vartan and Nia Long seemed to grow as the weeks went on, and I'm so very sad that we'll never be able to find out whatever became of 'any' of the characters. James (Michael Vartan) and Katie (Nia Long) had been 'hiding' their feelings for each other for so long, just when things were 'heating up' and becoming more 'interesting' ABC pulls the plug.

I so wish that at the very least one 'regular' station (CBS, NBC, FOX, etc.), or even one cable network would have picked them up, but knowing how ABC operates I'm quite sure they'd have shot it down. Kudos to wonderful cast and crew, at least in my opinion.
