OMGGGGG.

they're making a movie on slam dunk!? i've been a huge fan of the anime and i'm really hoping that it'll be good. god i can't wait. i hope they'll portray the characters well... what do u guys think?

reply

I think this movie, if they ever make it ...is going to be an abomination. Why? you asked...two words: Jay Chou, and thats enough said. I love the manga but I doubt these guys can pull this off.

reply

theyr are gona be an abomination to u but not to a lot of other ppl . some ppl think he cant act, which they are free to think that way but most ppl think he can, thats why he won best newcomer award. whether u like it or not, the majority of ppl love him

reply

that's totally untrue.
the majority ppl luv his MUSIC.
Movie? not so much.
And if you really know how to judge good/bad acting...u wouldn't say that he can act.
I mean c'mon, every time i see Jay in a movie, I see "Jay Chou"...not the character he's playing.

reply

in initial d he was playing a char that is very much like him irl. ur saying in curse of golden flower he still looked the same as he did in id and rl ? while i dont think hes fit to act in ancient films he still did okay. as for judging him im not saying i can judge, but il definitely put all my money on that zhangyimou can judge acting, and he praised jay so i think ur wrong there unless u wana go against zhangyimou. and ur saying the prestigious award he won (hk movie award and golden horse awards) the judges there are unprofessional because ur saying he cant act and yet they gave the award to him ?? im sorry but the proffessionals (prestigious award critics and zhangyimou and director mak) says he can act, and i take their words more than urs unless ur a massive hollywood director then ill take ur words into consideration

reply

You think good directors always find good casts??
Jay was already casted in Zhang's film of course he's gonna say something good about Jay, otherwise it'd only make himself and his movie look bad, duh.
Jay CANNOT act, period.

reply

I don't think this movie has anything to do with the comic, though i don't know why IMDB credited the comic author as the writer, the film has changed its nameto Kungfu Slam Dunk to avoid confusion.

reply

this is more a Shaolin Soccer ripoff. it's slightly similar to the anime story.

this is because this stupid director/writer can't create anything but stealing other people's good ideas and make terrible movies. can't believe he is still making movies and cash in.
