An unfairly underrated Blue Sky Studios film

Yes, it's not a perfect film. It does have the same good vs evil narrative we've seen dozens of times and it could've been fleshed out more, but the characters were at least interesting (mostly Ronin, Queen Tara, M.K., and Mandrake) especially the comic relief Mub and Grub and also Nim Galuu, the story is very engaging and heartfelt, the action sequences are so awesome, Danny Elfman's score fitted the film very well, the voice work ranged from good to superb, and it has the best visuals out of any Blue Sky Studios film. Like, seriously, this, like Rise of the Guardians, deserved better at the box office and would've gotten some interesting sequels. Feel free to comment if you agree with me.

I would have liked it a lot better without the damned slug.

At least those two slugs were more entertaining than the annoying and irritating characters from the fifth Ice Age movie.

I was okay with the snail. He was nice, but dumb, and could have provided the moisture the little bud needed. The slug, however, was a snarky, egotistical, delusional asshole, who had no business making an ass of himself at Nod. Surely he knew he had no chance at the girl, considering she was not into gastropods.

Ok, I agree with you on that.

Fully agree with all of the above: vastly under-rated!!!

Love the book it was based on as well, even though the book is DRASTICALLY different!

Gonna check that out someday!
