Is no one interested in this besides me?

I can't wait to see this. For a time I was disgusted by Helvetica, but I have recently seen the better side of it. I wonder if this film with sway my opinions in either direction.

Does anyone know of any other type-based films?

I hate Times New Roman; Helvetica FTW.

BS.

Never, ever pit a Sans Serif (Helvetica) against a Serif (Times [New Roman]).

Both have their uses. Both are needed.

Sans Serif for signs, posters, presentations.

Serif for long texts, books, articles, reports.

I love both of them, and use both of them (Helvetica for Keynote presentations and posters, Times for word processing and writing).

And I pity the fools who don't know when to use which. I have seen tons of lab reports in Arial, and it looks hideous. If I ever have to correct a student's report in a Sans Serif again, I will drop his grade immediately.

I'm interested in this documentary! (or any that explores type or graphic design for that matter).

There is another film I know of on type, it's a documentary on Adrian Frutiger called "The Man of Black and White". While it's not listed on IMDB, you can buy it through Linotype: http://www.linotype.com/2391/frutigerdvd.html

Don't know any other fontopics. (Font + biopics) :^)

The film was well done, definitely worth seeing. It starts out as a love fest, but then a lot of different perspectives are represented. I really enjoyed it.

Enjoy!
