I dont know how there is another post saying this is an 'amazing' movie, ashley walters was a load of crap...he was wicked in bullet boy but this is nowhere near a great uk movie.

And why are they idiots for thinking it was two hours, so what if it was ninety minutes, who really cares.

Yeh I will tell you I dont know a black guy like that in UK, I wouldnt have a reason to encounter such a person. And i still think it was crap! The guy who played the same kind of part in Menace 2 society was more convincing.

get the message dude, the movie is *beep* nd ur flogging a dead horse...I dont agree ashley acted well but thats his opinion, i do agree the movie was crap, the characters were unbelievable, guy from kidulthood was better in kidulthood, the gangster guy was unrealistic and it was a waste of time.

By the way the menace to society guy was not one of the main characters, it was the crackhead to asked to suck that guys dick for drugs...thats realistic...if ur banging on about how gr8 ahsely's character was and would do anything for a sale he wasnt willing to go that far. I know its a bad comparison as it ashely was a dealer rather that just a user, but acting principles still apply.

how is that a spelling mistake? I said NOT of the main characters, I was talking about Basehead played by Dwayne L Barnes! I know the script and character are different, I was merely refering to the style of crack addict and behaviour of basehead in menace to society. You do not need a different script to 'behave' like basehead.

Theres no need to call me a mf coz i didnt call you anything like that, every comment on here apart from yours says that this movie is crap and only one other person said ashely acted well (and he also said the movie was crap)! And don't worry, I have read your little bootlegging speech on the American Ganagster board where you were cracking offensive comments about black people which people told you they found offensive. So your innocent comment saying "I just wanted to know what peoples opinion was on what was wrong with the film. Lmao what makes you think someone told me to look at your profile, this might come as a shock for you but American Gangster is a recent film and I had seen quite a few names of people I have talked with on other boards.

I don't focus all my attention on you, but why would you call someone a mf for not liking the film. All that needs to be said is why? not Yo mf you talkin sht or u stupid mf.

If people dont like the film they dont like it, I explained to you y i didnt like it as did other, u have a right to ur opinion and to say why we may be wrong, but it becomes personal when you personally seek someone out for a argument. weakest plot i've ever seen in a movie ...
very slow progress ... just kept waiting for something interesting to happen ...
at a point didnt care at all about any of the characters or give a damn about what was going to happen to them/how the story would end ...
boring and uneventful ...

If you haven't watched the movie yet just close your browser and destroy the DVD it's on... trust me, it's garbage!

Never watched bulletboy but from the comments on here I'll give it a pass. This movie was terrible. The black guy was fairly believable, hell I live in Vancouver Canada and know Crack heads like that but that was about the only believable part of this waste of time.

the continual transfers from raging anger to tears of grief are alright if done sparingly but these people changed attitudes repeatedly again and again for little to no reason. Hood was just stupid, yeah he's a bad ass! He scares children and kicks the hell out of white businessman! oh no! he shot a girl and no he's freaking out. why'd he keep the gun if he was so paranoid? why not just wipe it clean than throw it in the river? Why did some random business man follow a black crackhead down a deserted alley way into an unknown warehouse, than stick around when the black guy starts stealing his *beep* and threatening him? I know the guys suicidal but that's just retarded. than the "how much do I have to pay you to just leave" scene?!? WHat hte hell was that?! What kind of retard inbred moron would actually believe that this guy who has just talked about a murder he commited is going to let you go alive just because you give him money!?

I could go on about the scenes in this movie that either just made no sense at all or were so overacted it was funny but it would just waste even more of my tiem than this movie already did.

And before those who liked it bitch about why I'm here if I hated it. trying to stop others from making the same mistake as i did by watching this crap..

Yeah. And the quality seemed to decline the more they continued dragging out the story, piling the implausible contrivances upon each other. The locations and photography were its saving graces, IMO.
